Cirrus Logic CS43131 Chip

The Cirrus Logic CS43131 decoding chip, also used in high-end audio devices, is responsible for signal conversion in the KEYX. In combination with a high-performance USB controller, it delivers low distortion and noise, a wide frequency range, a high dynamic range, and a very good signal-to-noise ratio. The design was developed to ensure high-quality performance metrics and adequate output power, making the DAC well-suited for everyday activities such as listening to music, watching videos, or using streaming services.

L-Shaped Design

The KEYX stands out for its unconventional approach to the design of a portable DAC. Instead of the short cable connecting the 3.5 mm jack to the PCB—a feature found in many adapters— the manufacturer has integrated a female connector directly into the L-shaped housing. This solution has preserved the functional ergonomics characteristic of TRUTHEAR products while giving the device a more cohesive and distinctive form. The design is manufactured using multi-component injection molding and a CNC-machined, anodized metal housing.

Interference Reduction

The KEYX’s integrated design is engineered to eliminate the need for additional connectors between key components of the system. This results in more effective shielding and helps minimize the impact of radio frequency interference generated by communication devices, among other sources. This is particularly important when using the transducer in an environment filled with smartphones, wireless modules, and other sources of RF signals.
